Operation Outcry -- The Supreme Court is Listening
35 Years After Roe vs. Wade - the Supreme Court is Listening!
"The testimony of women harmed by abortion can help
restore justice and end abortion..."
In April of 2007, the U. S. Supreme Court upheld the ban on partial birth abortion, due in large part to the evidence presented by The Justice Foundation in its amicus brief that abortion harms women. Excerpts from "Operation Outcry" documents:
"Although the Court acknowledged the harm of abortion, it also stated it had "no reliable data to measure" the extent of the problem. The most effective way to show the Court the magnitude of the problem is to collect a much larger number of testimonies.
The Justice Foundation has collected affidavits and declarations through its project, Operation Outcry, from approximately 2000 women since the year 2000.... In the recent Supreme Court decision upholding the ban on partial-birth abortion, the Court cited The Justice Foundation's Amicus brief (also known as a friend of the court brief) and the testimony filed with it on behalf of women hurt by abortion.
...testimony in a declaration can be used in legal cases and in state national and international legislative efforts to end or limit abortion, such as an abortion ban, informed consent, parental consent, etc."
Their vision statement: "OPERATION OUTCRY is the project of THE JUSTICE FOUNDATION to end legal abortion by exposing the truth about its devastating impact on women and families. We believe that this will be accomplished through prayer and with the testimonies of mothers who have taken the life of their own unborn babies and of others who have suffered harm from abortion. We are working to restore justice and to protect women, men, and children from the destruction that abortion causes."
